How Consent Is Collected
Consent is collected from the member directly, in writing, through a web form on our own website. We do not purchase, rent, import, or otherwise acquire mobile numbers from any third party, and we do not accept mobile numbers gathered by another business on our behalf.
- A person enrolls in an Integration Space through our website. Enrollment payment is handled by Stripe and does not collect messaging consent.
- After enrollment, the member is directed to our intake form at humanliteracyinstitute.com/intake, where the member enters their own name, email address, and mobile phone number.
- On that same form, directly below the fields the member completes, an unchecked consent checkbox appears. The member must click it to opt in to text messages.
- The member submits the form. We store the consent choice with that member's intake record, along with the date and time the choice was submitted.
- If the member does not check the box, no program text messages are sent to that number. Enrollment, participation, and all program content remain fully available.
The mobile phone number and the messaging consent checkbox appear together on the same page, so the member can see what the number will be used for at the moment of consent.
The Consent Checkbox Members See
The following is a styled reproduction of the intake form fields and the consent checkbox as they appear to the member. The checkbox is unchecked by default and is never pre-selected. It is shown here for reference only and cannot be submitted.
No other checkbox on the intake form grants messaging consent, and the messaging checkbox is not bundled with any other agreement.
Program Messages Members Receive
Members who opt in receive only messages related to their own program participation:
- Enrollment and account setup information
- A daily practice link during an active 21-day cohort
- Live session reminders and scheduling updates
- Occasional practice prompts tied to the member's current Integration Space
- Replies to a message the member sends to us
We do not send marketing or promotional text messages to members, and we do not send text messages on behalf of any other business.
Messaging Terms
Stopping messages
You may withdraw consent at any time by replying STOP to any message we send. You will receive one confirmation that messages have stopped, and we will send no further program text messages to that number. You may also email info@humanliteracyinstitute.com to be removed. Stopping text messages does not affect your enrollment, your member account, or your access to any program content.
Getting help
Reply HELP to any message for support information, or contact us at info@humanliteracyinstitute.com.
How Mobile Numbers Are Handled
Mobile phone numbers and text messaging consent records are used only to deliver the program messages described on this page.
Mobile phone numbers and consent information are never sold, and they are never shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes.
We share a mobile number with a messaging service provider only to the extent required to deliver a message that the member has consented to receive. That provider acts on our behalf and may not use the number for its own marketing.
Consent records, including the date and time the member submitted the choice, are retained so that we can demonstrate that consent was given and honor any later request to stop messages.
Full details on collection, use, retention, and your privacy rights are described in our Privacy Policy, including the Text Messaging section.
